This tour is all about the Giant Panda!

You will follow in the footsteps of the famous Professor Pan who is a Chinese conservationist specialising in the Giant Panda.

Professor Pan studied the Giant Panda right here in Changqing Reserve from 1987 until 1997 He was a major influence in halting the destruction of the Panda’s habitat in the Qinling Mountains and during his research discovered many new facts about the Giant Panda’s lifestyle and nature.

During this tour you will meet the patrolmen now helping to continue his research. You will go on patrol looking for signs of the Panda and learn everything about this fascinating species in the wild! You will be immersed in the Panda’s habitat – the mountains, streams, trees and of course bamboo!
